A Special Health Care Comment Posted by Gina Telaroli on October 8, 2009 at 11:27 am

I’m admittedly a big fan of Keith Olbermann.  And even though he can go overboard once in awhile, he is pitch perfect in the below special comment about health care.  I won’t go into to much detail, it should be seen not read, but what Olbermann does that is so great is that he gets across that we’re all fighting for the same thing--for the ability to keep on living.

So watch the Special Comment below--even if you are against reform. I think you owe it to yourself to really think about what Olbermann says.

I can appreciate why a person with Mr. Olbermann’s political leanings feels so strongly about health care, even if I disagree. But what I don’t understand is why he doesn’t put his money where is over-enunciating mouth is. If I am to believe the media accounts I read, Olbermann makes $7 million a year. Why not announce that he is donating $6 million annually toward the causes he deems most important, and challenge other wealthy people on the left to use their wealth in the same manner. Is it unreasonable to ask him to live on a million dollars a year? If he is indeed so passionate about this cause, this would be a logical next step. Unless, of course, like most progressives, he favors the idea of government redistribution of wealth but not the actual practice of redistribution as it would apply to him.
