Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s evening walk and fundraising event. These walks take place all over the country at different Light the Night chapters to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost. Watch this Light The Night Walk PSA featuring National Spokesperson Tina Fey:
As explained on their site: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.
My friend Albertina is walking for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in NYC on October 15th in honor of her father who died from Leukemia. If you can, please contribute to her fundraising page by clicking here. or to register your own walking team, volunteer at a local event, and to get more information visit lightthenight.org
