Ingredients, a new documentary from writer and director Robert Bates, explores the passion and commitment of small farmers and chefs at the forefront of the local, sustainable food movement. The film features interviews with some familiar faces, including Alice Waters, but particularly highlights a cast of characters from Oregon (another reason I need to live in Portland one day).
The trailer alone is inspiring and the film has been continually added to film festivals across the country (and the world for that matter) and garnering acclaim, so chances are that you’ll have a chance to see it soon. You can also host a screening in your community and share the film with your local food friends.
