Last week I posted a few links about what folks have been saying about Creation following its Toronto screening and a few months ago I posted a link to a conversation had at the Tribeca Film Festival about Darwin where one of the participants was Creation director Jon Amiel. And this morning I am going to ahead and post the trailer to the film, which deals with Darwin’s writing of “The Origin of the Species” and the death of his daughter.
Overall this looks like typical Oscar bait, biopic fare - but that doesn’t mean it looks bad - just a bit typical.
I like Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany and love the idea of America learning more about Darwin (as the panel illustrated, it is important that science reign supreme when it comes to education.)
I think this film is what it is and that in the grand scheme of things, that is alright by me.
