I’ve written about the teaser and the title announcement for the latest from Michael Moore and now I am posting the actual trailer for Capitalism: A Love Story. And I have to say I’m about as excited as I was when the teaser came out and when the title was announced - meaning not excited at all.
I watch the below trailer and I’m just not excited. Maybe it’s becuase I had to watch the trailer for this movie one billion times while I was at Film Forum for the Nick Ray series and I’ve had enough of movies that simply tell me what I already know - that the government was corrupt and screwed a lot of people.
Maybe it’s because I know that Michael Moore will go overboard as per usual and won’t convince anyone that doesn’t agree with him of anything.
I don’t know, it just seems goofy.
Although I’m sure there is a lot of good information in the film and it does give people the opportunity to question the world out there - which is always a good thing.
Hopefully I’m wrong on this one and Moore has toned it down and made a good, solid point about somthing. I really do hope so.
