Bicycle Film Festival: Update Posted by Danny Jensen on August 19, 2009 at 11:42 am

The Bicycle Film Festival arrives in Toronto today and Orlando this weekend, and I wanted to share with you trailers from a couple of the films that look amazing, in hopes that if you’re in town you’ll go check out a screening.

As you might have noticed, we here at TakePart love the Bicycle Film Festival and bicycles in general, and think the festival is an amazing way to celebrate the diversity of bicycle culture and encourage people from all walks of life to consider riding. (Check out Good magazine’s excellent write up of the festival.)  The festival continues on to Los Angeles and Milwaukee at the end of the month with many more cities to follow, so be sure to check it out when it rides in your direction.

Check out this trailer for the film Where Are You Go, which follows bicyclists who travel from Cairo, Eqypt to Capetown, South Africa on what looks to be a beautiful way to experience the continent:

I really look forward to checking out the whole film, and I’m also looking forward to seeing The Scraper Bike King, which shares the story of a 19 year-old entrepreneur who started a bicycle movement as a way to get kids off the mean streets of East Oakland.
