So there have been numerous pieces written about John Hughes over the past few days, some that wrongly compare him to Jean-Luc Godard(the only way in which Godard and Hughes should be mentioned together is HERE) and others that are personal and pretty perceptive. (you can read Giulia’s goodbyes HERE and HERE).
However, my favorite take on Mr. Hughes is below. It isn’t written and but I think captures John Hughes better than the written word (which has leaned towards a but too praiseworthy in my mind). If anything it offers a different take on the obituary and tributes in general - and this is super exciting. I love when new technology is used to change the way we typically do something.
The video is by Eclectic Method and it’s pretty awesome - though it could use some more Sixteen Candles moments in this blogger’s opinion.
