I just read on Ecorazzi.com that every year, screenwriters print 200,000 screenplays, including 180 million sheets of paper–eets of paper– as well as copious ink, binding, and other materials. A new LA based company called Greenwriter.org is hoping to help reduce waste by creating an place online where writers can securely upload their WGA registered screenplays. In six months, they hope to cut that 180 million number in half. Production companies and agents will be able to browse and download from the fully searchable Greenwriter catalog for a small fee and the service is completely free of charge for writers to use. And they have the sweetest logo (pictured above). So if you’re a screenwriter looking to sell your script and you’re concerned about the earth (and about your budget) check out Greenwriter.org.
Now I just need to find a service to take my screenplay idea out of my head and magically type it up for me.

love this idea! The only draw back, I really love HOLDING my screenplay once it’s done. It get a feeling I accomplished something when I’m actually holdng it. Do you know what I mean?
