In my second piece of Obama related news, the President spoke out last night about the arrest of Henry Louis Gates.
For those of you who haven’t heard already the acclaimed Harvard professor was arrested last week after he locked himself out of his own house and he attempted to get in. A neighbor called the police and the general consensus is that the cops made the arrest of Gates based on his status as an African-American.  Below is Obama’s statement and below that some links to the web’s more interesting take on the entire thing.
