I have to say that while I actually enjoyed Twilight and have no doubt that I might enjoy True Blood, I don’t really see what all the fuss about vampires is these days. Well, unless you’re talking about the below trailer for Park Chan-wook’s THIRST.
Because the below trailer for Thirst looks awesome (and a tad disturbing). I don’t know if it is the mix of vampire folklore with what looks to be Catholicism and lust, but whatever the case Park Chan-wook looks to have created something I want to see.
And just a quick note that Park Chan-wook is probably best known for the films Oldboy , Boksuneun naui geot (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance) and Chinjeolhan geumjassi (Sympathy for Lady Vengeance). This means that Thirst will probably be pretty gory.
But you know, after Twilight’s “virginal” feel, maybe that’s not a bad thing.
