I can’t quite imagine what it must have been like 40 years ago to see the first man walk on the moon. It must have been extraordinary.
Today marks the 40th anniversary of when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first walked on the moon and I am sure that for many this is a very special day. It’s representative of the best that our country has to offer working together for a larger goal, collaborating to making something wonderful happen.
To celebrate I’ve posted a montage I found on YouTube of different things that have to do with what makes today great. The clip features newscasters (including Walter Cronkite) talking about the historic day, scenes from the HBO series “From the Earth to the Moon” (something that would be great to watch today) and finally at the end the actual moonwalk!
