I love popsicles. As a kid I would try to trick my next door neighbor into letting us have popsicles from her house so that I could later go home and also have popsicles from my house, making it a double popsicle kind of day.  I also love local, seasonal food - especially after seeing Food, Inc.
Well it seems I am not alone, as there is a new crew in New York City making popsicles from local ingredients bought at the GreenMarket. The crew is called People’s Popsicles and they consist of three folks ( David, Joel and Nathalie) that all love to make what sound to be the best popsicles ever,
Get a load of these flavors: Blueberry Cardomom, Sour Cherry & Sweet Rhubarb, Peach & Tarragon, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Peach, Chamomile & Honey, Watermelon and Cucumber & Hyssop. If you’re mouth isn’t currently watering we probably shouldn’t be friends.
I mean how exciting is it to see popsicles made with actual good food instead of food coloring and corn syrup? The answer is really really exciting.
As of now People’s Popsicles mostly travels around New York City with their goods, although they also deliver.
You can learn more at their blog and or follow them on Twitter.

Whenever I see kids with freezies (popsicles in plastic) I shudder. They sit in plastic in hot stores and trucks, then we freeze them and give them to our children. How much of the chemicals from the plastic have leached into this treat, I ask??!!
