You may have read about Colin Beavan and his family’s crazy experiment to live for one year without creating any waste. It was in the New York Times and all over the news. He even wrote a book about it.  Well now there is a movie too and the trailer is below.
At first glance the film seems pretty predictable but what I think will make it stand out are the interesting little facts you learn along the way and the personal journey of the family. More or less it seems that what you’re getting is reality TV with some environmental truths.
I do kind of hate the stereotype that the woman can’t do without her products and her junk food - that makes me a little upset. Although hopefully the fact that the crazy lifestyle seems to help (with diabetes and parenting) will overshine that.
If you want to check out the book before the film you can do so HERE.
