Advertisements often make me angry. They tend to play on people’s insecurities and make them want to buy things they don’t need.
That being said there are some awesome and inspiring pieces of cinema that sometimes make it though. And while this may not seen that important I think it is actually kind of a big deal. We are forced to see so many ads throughout the course of a single day and are often only thought of as dumb consumers. Seeing ads that recognize our intelligence and our humanity really makes me quite happy. It can also be an unexpected source of inspiration that pokes through while we are most likely watching television that is less than inspiring.
Below are four ads that seem to transcend their capitalistic ends in some way.
