Chipotle’s motto is “Food With Integrity” and they are putting their money where their fork is. The company is offering 32 free screenings of the film Food, Inc to show how important the film is to ethos the of the company.
From its website:
The hallmarks of Food With Integrity include things like unprocessed, seasonal, family-farmed, sustainable, nutritious, naturally raised, added hormone free, organic, and artisanal. And, since embracing this philosophy, it’s had tremendous impact on how we run our restaurants and our business. It’s led us to serve more naturally raised meat than any other restaurant in the country, to push for more sustainable practices in produce farming, and to work with dairy suppliers to eliminate the use of added hormones from their operations.
Here is the list of theaters and cities hosting a free screening. Each screening begins at 7:30 pm. All you need to do is show up, there are no RSVPs.
We hope you can be there!!

I saw the movie last night (not at Chipotle’s, though) and it was incredible. I’m more motivated now than ever before to support only those businesses that are looking to help put the power of our food supply back in farmers’ and consumers’ hands.
Iwould love to see what Chiptole is talking about.
So, do I just show up or this going to be a controlled environment with tickets? I would hate to go all the way over there to find out all seats are taken.
go and grab some food before the film starts =)
interesting, since mcdonald’s owns a siginificant portion of chipotle, if i’m not mistaken.
Chipotle was never owned by McDonald’s. Chipotle, however, is the only company McDonald’s has ever invested in. They have since paid back the money and have no affiliation. But, while the were affiliated, they never sacrificed the quality of their food just because they borrowed money from a fast food chain.
It has changed my family’s life!
I think it’s great that Chipotle is doing this. However, I don’t have that restaurant near me. Can anyone tell me the exact schedule of which theaters/entities will be hosting this movie across the country? Of course it’s not showing anywhere within 40 miles of me right now. I live in the Memphis, TN area, where we desperately need this info.
I saw this movie last night. I thought I was a relatively informed consumer. I was not. The information in this film has changed the way I will purchase food. We vote with our $, and I will not vote to support mega companies that intimidate and work for their bottom line rather for the health of the consumer, the treatment of animals or the welfare of the workers. It is time we stand up and stop this. Please see this movie.
If Chipotle really wants “to show how important the film is to the ethos of the company”, Chipotle should listen to what the director Robert Kenner and co-producer/narrator Eric Schlosser have demanded of Chipotle: that work with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers to ensure fair wages and human rights for Florida farmworkers. Read the open letter to Chipotle signed by Kenner, Schlosser and many other notable food activists: http://www.ciw-online.org/letter_to_Chipotle.html
BeverlyD Organic Hair & Body Products supports this cause and everyone should see this movie…Thanks Chipotle!
Love what Chipolte is doing! This is a smart brand relevant move.
Hey, your links just go to the FWI page on Chipotle’s website. Perhaps this has concluded? I don’t see a list of movie theaters participating in these free screenings.
