True story: when I was in the third grade spelling bee I got the word “cocoa” to spell. I proudly stood up at the microphone and looked at judges and said “C O C O” and sat down. As it turns out the only place (or the only one I remembered) I had seen the word cocoa spelled was in commercials for Chanel No. 5.
It is with that memory and a profound love of clothing that I give you the trailer below. There are no subtitles but you really don’t need them. And in a way the beauty of Coco Chanel is mirrored in the beauty of listening to the French language.
Also, how awesome is it that there is a dramatic movie about making fashion!
The answer is so cool.
My only worry is Audrey Tatou. I kind of wish a less famous actress was in the role - although she will bring celebrity to the character, which could work in the film’s favor.
