The tenacity of the human spirit is a remarkable force, and when individuals work together they can accomplish so much in the face of adversity. The residents of Nickelsville, Seattle’s homeless camp, may not have received as much press as those from Sacramento’s tent city, but their struggle to find a safe haven has been no less of a challenge. Despite being repeatedly forced to relocate, the people of Nickelsville, along with homeless advocates, have continually worked to create a secure and stable, if temporary, encampment. Continuing his road trip across the country to interview those living without a home, Mark of InvisiblePeople.tv recently spoke with Bruce and Donna about their experience living at Nickelsville. The couple’s interview provides a educational glimpse into how important a community like Nickelsville can be to help those who wish to transition to permanent housing. Check out the video and find out how you can help support Mark’s journey in the action link below:
