I love Al Roker. He has such happy energy and I love when he gets silly on the Today Show. This week Roker will be reporting the Today Show weather report from different places around the country for the program’s eighth annual “Lend a Hand Today” charity event. Starting this morning in L.A., Roker will be in a different city each day this week to surprise a local charity organization with much-needed supplies and donations to improve their communities. Other cities include Portland, Ore., Galveston, Texas, Little Rock, Ark., and Charlotte, N.C. This year the show has raised almost $1.8 million in donations, the largest amount since “Lend a Hand Today” started in 2002.
I think if Al Roker randomly showed up at my workplace to surprise me with a charity check I’d be beyond thrilled (especially because my workplace is my livingroom/home office and my charity is the imaginary “help Giulia pay off her debt” foundation).
