In continuing with my 40 days of Sesame Street, wherein I post awesome Sesame Street videos that showcase the issues we care about at TakePart I am going to pick a topic related to the awesome fact that FOOD, INC IS OPENING IN THEATERS TODAY(!), and look at Sesame Street’s take on the food industry.
I remember as a kid watching Sesame Street sketches where they took us to various food factories and showed us how our food got processed. The interesting thing is that the information we got back then was that our the processing started with real, natural foods, which after you watch Food, Inc is rarely that case.
Below, some of those trips to the factory.
Where does peanut butter come from?
_____
Where do Chinese Noodles come from?
_____
Watch Food, Inc to learn where the hamburger meat comes from, watch the video below to learn where the bun comes from
_____
And because this is the reason it all matters (and the reason you should see Food, Inc.)
