One of my favorite non-profits, DonorsChoose.org (see previous post), features a sea of classroom projects that creative teachers in high poverty schools would love to do with their students to teach them about the oceans of the world. If only they could afford to buy the proper materials.
What better way to celebrate World Ocean Day than by helping these teachers inspire a new generation of marine biologists and oceanographers. Seas this opportunity to sail on over to their website, and consider funding all or part of one of these ocean-themed activities. Who knows—your generosity might help inspire the next Jacques Cousteau!
