The Timberland Company has just opened a carbon neutral location at 474 Broadway in New York City. The new store was built with reclaimed wood, salvaged brick and other recycled and environmentally friendly materials, and the shop only uses non-VOC paints and efficient lighting.
The Timberland Company has long had a reputation for being a conscious corporation. Timberland created the Earthkeepers project to promote eco-friendly living. Timberland has also done their part by cutting back on emissions, using renewable energy and putting more organic and recycled materials in their gear.
