Cyberspace can be scary space. Good thing President Barack Obama announced today that he plans name a top cybersecurity official to the White House. He also released a report that recommended how to safeguard the nation’s cyber network.
The President said, “Cyberspace is real and so are the risks that come with it. Now our virtual world is going viral, we have only begun to explore the next generation of technologies that will transform our lives in ways we can’t even begin imagine. So a new world awaits, a world of greater security and greater potential prosperity if we reach for it, if we leap.”
Now if Obama could only appoint someone to limit the amount of times per day some people update their Facebook status.

With Bill 773 pending in the Senate, Obama will have the ability to shut down the internet. Violations of our 1st and 4th amendment rights will happen if this bill is passed. Senator Jay Rockefeller who wrote the bill, included the statement from Obama’s speech that said we are “dragging our feet and to be more like China”. Obama is opening a big brother Pandora’s box with this bill 1984now.org.
