This is so sad. Mike Tyson’s 4-year-old daughter Exodus Tyson died yesterday after a bizarre accident where her neck apparently got caught in a cord dangling from a treadmill in the families home.
The life of this former Heavy Weight Champion of the World, has already been so full of extreme ups and downs as shown in the new documentary ‘Tyson’. Mike Tyson’s pimp father walked out on the family when Tyson was 2. He then went from a teenage thief and drug dealer to an undisputed champion, and then later he was incarcerated for rape, filed for bankruptcy, and bit off Holyfield’s ear. According to reviews, the film successfully dives into the mind and heart of this complex character. After the film’s warm reception at Cannes last year Tyson said “I’ve never experienced anything like this in my whole career.” It seemed the film was a turning point for Tyson, a chance for people to see the humanity behind this fascinating icon. Watch the movie trailer below:
And now sadly, the death of Tyson’s daughter is one more tragic chapter added to this mans tumultuous life. My thoughts go out to the Tyson family.
