One of the main reasons I chose to highlight Vincent Price today was to clear something up. For people raised in my generation Vincent Price was always just that creepy guy from that weird offshoot of Scooby-Do and the man who tried to give Edward Scissorhands his real hands.  I remember thinking he was just a strange dude.
Then I got into older film and I realized that he starred in some of the best melodramas and film noirs around and is actually a pretty great actor. If you don’t believe me you should check out Laura, The Song of Bernadette, The Long Night, The Ten Commandments and my personal favorite of all his films Leave Her to Heaven.
Below is a clip of Vincent Price from the end of Leave Her to Heaven. If you’ve seen the film enjoy-and if you haven’t may I recommend watching the entire film immediately.
Sigh, I miss you Vincent.
