Had he lived, Harvey Milk would have been 79 years old today.  And while he may not be with us, the spirit of his fight for equal rights for the gay community is.  To think a third grader held a rally for gay rights the other day!! Harvey would have been proud.

Below is the entire documentary The Times of Harvey Milk.  I think this Memorial day may be the perfect time to watch the film, as he may not have died in military service but Harvey Milk definitely died in service to his country (also we all have more time with the free day!)
