Earth Day has come and gone, but do you really need a special day to do something good for our planet? Maybe you did more than your fair share in honor of the occasion, or maybe you wish you had done something more. If you’re still itching to TakePart, here’s a quick and easy way to do a world of good! DonorsChoose.org (one of my favorite organizations to support – see previous post) features MANY special green-themed classroom projects that teachers would love to do with their students if only they had a little extra funding. That’s where you come in! If you can fund even part of one of these projects, you will be making a wonderful contribution to education, to children, and to raising awareness about taking care of Mother Earth.
Here are five Earth-Day-related classroom projects that still need extra funding:
1. Loving Our Living Environment
3. Learning About Our Environment
4. Help First Graders Ease Their Way Into Going Green
5. Clean Air Hidden In Environmental Beauty
takepart in supporting DonorsChoose.org.
