April 22nd is Earth Day, the one day we set aside to appreciate and raise awareness for all things environmental. Not quite sure how you can celebrate? You’ve come to the right place! Here are 17 things you can do celebrate the planet:

1. Put on your walking shoes and walk to school, to work, to lunch.

2. Take back the tap. Drink tap water instead of bottled water.

3.Visit a farmer’s market and buy local produce for the week.

4. Unscrew, America! Change a light bulb and change it to a CFL.

5. Carpool. If you have to travel a long way, be sure to share the ride.

6. Green movies. Watch one (or all) of these Top 10 Earth Day films.

7. Carry reusable bags and bring reusable containers for your lunch.

8. Let the sunshine in! Use as much natural light as you can in your office and home.

9. Recycle, duh! You should be recycling everyday but especially on Earth Day.

10.  Take a bite out of climate change and don’t eat meat! The livestock industry is responsible for nearly one-fifth of all global greenhouse gas emissions— more than the entire transportation sector.

11. Take a shorter shower (but remember to use soap!)

12. Eat well! Buy organic fruits and vegetables.

13. Plant a tree and make the earth a little greener.

14. Let it air dry. Dry your laundry the natural way.

15. Turn it off and unplug it. Turn off the lights, your computer, monitor, printer and all other electronic devices when you leave the office. You should also plug everything into an energy saving powerstrip.
