We love it (okay, I love it) when we (okay, I) get to combine multiple former Awesome Sunday Vegetarians in one post. And, today, I found a little interview that Art Brut’s Eddie Argos did, in which he mentions his love both for Pulp and the Mountain Goats. All three of these artists have been discussed more than once here on takepart. What a day. Check out what Argos has to say about Jarvis Cocker, the frontman of Pulp (well, one thing. He says more):

A few years ago, I saw the NME one day and it said, “Who’s the new Jarvis Cocker?” on the cover. I thought, “F***ing hell, some prick I bet.” And I opened it up and it was me. I was like, “Oh f***! Well, that’s nice.” [Pitchfork]

Awesome. And about the Mountain Goats:

I remember when I walked off stage after we finished our set John [Darnielle] was there with a bottle of water and a towel. I’d never met him before. I was like, “John from the Mountain Goats is looking after me!” I’d love to tour with them, that would be a dream.

Yes. Please make that tour a reality. That would be lovely. Seeing as I’ll have to miss Art Brut in Chicago this summer, I can think of no better way to have them make amends. Though it’s not for lack of trying…Art Brut is playing five shows in a row.

Read the rest of the interview here, and takepart to learn more about vegetarianism.
