If you love movies, there is probably a part of you that also loves Kirk Douglas. He has starred in some of the great films of all time - from early films like The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Out of the Past, Ace in the Hole and The Bad and the Beautiful to his Kubrick films - Paths of Glory and Spartacus.
Well if you are lucky enough to live in California you can now see Kirk Douglas talk about his amazing life in his one man show Before I Forget. The show features the 92 year old Hollywood veteran anecdotes about his career and family. Douglas hasn’t had an easy aging process (he’s had two knee replacements, was in a 1991 helicopter crash and in 1995 had a stroke that impaired his speech) but that isn’t stopping him from sharing his stories.
takepart to listen to an NPR piece about the show and then takepart to learn more about the Anne and Kirk Douglas Playground Award.
