Building leprechaun traps for St. Patrick’s Day seems to be a popular activity for kids, but sadly, capturing the little Irish men was never an assignment where I went to school. Fortunately, it’s never too late to act like a kid, which is why I was excited to stumble upon The World’s Geekiest Leprechaun Traps from Wired magazine.  Some of them are really clever, some involve slime, and some are low-tech like the one in the video below, but my favorite story is when the leprechauns amazed science geek Steve Spangler’s kids by turning their water green.
So, if you have a kid, are a kid, or just feel like a kid, build a leprechaun trap this year, and maybe you’ll catch a little pot o’ gold, or at least an AIG executive running away with a bonus.
