Twitter seems to be taking over the internet these days.  With Barabra Walters talking about it and blogs like Gawker devoting posts to information obtained on folks’ Twitter streams you can’t ignore it anymore. Especially when things like the Prop 8 hearings are being twittered about.

I also have to admit I like being able to get instant updates from the MTA, MOMA, The Film Society of Lincoln Center, The NYTimes and NPR.  It is a pretty easy way to be kept in the loop on things that I want to be kept in the loop on.

The other awesome thing about Twitter is that you can always just “follow” people.  Meaning that just because you sign up for Twitter you don’t necessarily have to update it with your own personal messages (I don’t). You can simply login and see what other people and awesome organizations are up to.
