Both In the Bedroom and Little Children kind of wowed me and that wow never would have happened without director Todd Field. Both movies has everything I love in them - housewives, suburbia, awkward family relationships and women who end up being more ruthless than you’d imagine.
Also - he is awesome in Eyes Wide Shut as the piano player who sets Tom Cruise off on his crazy adventure:
In honor of Todd and “little children” everywhere, takepart with The Ronald McDonald House and also head after the jump for the trailer to Little Children - which is one of the best trailers ever.

Todd Field is one of our Greatest Living Filmakers. Thanks for sharing the EWS scene of Field as Nick Nightingale. I forgot what an amazing actor he is. Happy Birthday, Todd!
