As Giulia mentioned earlier, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth tomorrow, and Discover brings us six places that modern Darwinians could explore to learn more about his theory of evolution. These richly diverse locations include the deepest underwater trenches, an abandoned copper mine, the wilds of New Guinea, the Canadian Arctic, the Chihuahuan desert, and the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital! Of course, it would help if you were a scientist (or doctor) to gain access to these places, but hey, at least there’s a slide show:
