Anyone who loves David Lynch probably loves today’s birthday girl as well.  She has made some of his films quite amazing and allowed me to have the most meta experience of my lifetime at the NYFF screening of Inland Empire (where I watched the actual Laura Dern watching herself on screen at the same time her character in the move was watching herself on a movie screen.)
