Like lots of people, money stresses me out. Big time.
I worry about my lack of savings, my debt, my imaginary retirement fund. I don’t have a regular job with a 401K, instead I have an unstable career and lots of hope. And unfortunately hope doesn’t pay my rent.
So how does a struggling, getting older, not getting any richer, person like me manage her non-existent money? One good, yet painfully not fun piece of advice I read was “adopting a simple lifestyle is one of the surest ways to meet today’s needs and still reach your long-term goals. Take a look at your spending to identify areas you could trim the fat.” Which for me translates into no more 10 minute chair massages. But that’s a health expense, no? Dammit.
