Makeup That Encourages Women Not to Cover Up Injustice. Posted by Giulia Rozzi on January 23, 2009 at 4:13 pm

dontcover“City of Hope” is the only organization of its kind in the United Arab Emirates providing shelter to hundred of battered women. With the help of the advertising agency JWT Dubai, City of Hope’s message was spread via free makeup kits distributed to women in shopping malls. The kits include a makeup brush with City of Hope’s hot line printed on it and the message : “Don’t cover up injustice. Speak” and each color in the palette is covered by a situation of abuse.

I couldn’t find a website for City of Hope where you can donate to their efforts but I did find a great article on the founder of the organization, Sharla Musabih. takepart and read about this inspiring woman.

Be aware a lot of makeup has harmful chemicals that are absorbed into our skin and interferring with our hormones.

I am appalled by the number of women I know from 14 years and up who are on anti depressants.

Could making ourselves beautiful be undermining our health and happiness?

It looks like we may have been dealt another blow by big business.

I hope the the ‘City of Hope’ knows these facts and have used only natural ingredients!

If not, then I am exposing another injustice done to women when I speak!!

To beauty, which goes right to the heart!
