This morning on NPR I heard a touching story about USA Together, a wonderful organization that lets you directly help returning veterans who suffered life-altering injuries by responding to their personal requests for what they really need. The site is a wonderful way to provide very specific assistance to veterans and their families, who often don’t receive enough support from the government. As NPR reports, veterans aren’t always aware of the benefits that are available to them, or that government assistance takes a long time to arrive.
With USA Together veterans provide a personal profile and description of their requests, which include everything from a crib to mortgage assistance, so you know exactly who you are helping, instead of an organization deciding where your money should go. You can learn more about USA Together and other amazing organizations that help returning veterans at NPR and listen to today’s story here.
Andtakepart by helping a veteran in need today with USA Together.
