Cell phone safety has been a hot topic lately, with concerns ranging from debunked links to eye cancer to deadly driving distractions. But not many people are aware of the potential hazards of Severe Micro-Cellulotamination or SMC, which is why lvhrd, a New York based arts collective is hosting (CLL) PHN-LCKN to educate the public about this growing problem.
Okay, so SMS is not an actual condition, but if you’re tired of excessive cell phone use and you want to rock out, I suggest you go check out their exclusive party in TriBeCa next Monday. I went to the last (CLL) PHN-LCKN at the Museum of Modern Art in 2006, and had an amazing time dancing to Les Savvy Fav. And while I think they could have done something slightly more interesting once they confiscated people’s phones and hung them on a wall, I still had a blast. And this year will surely be rockin’.
takepart by learning about serious cell phone concerns from Cell Phone Saftey.
And after the jump check out a Les Savvy Fav concert that I went to at McCarren pool in Brooklyn. Sadly they missed the part where he played dodgeball.

Les Savy Fav puts on one of the best live shows in the history of rock and roll. That’s just science. Interesting fun fact: Fred Armisen from Saturday Night Live played drums on some of their newest record, “Let’s Stay Friends.”
Sorry. Just had to geek out there a moment. Thanks, Danny, for the opportunity!
