The owners of Match.com recently launched their newest dating site, DownToEarth.com a completely free dating service without any restrictions. A big distinguishing feature of DownToEarth.com is RealRatings, which allows people to rate the ‘realness’ of a person, that is, rating photos/information based on how representative the information is of the real person. People can vote after being on a date with a person. Is it just me, or does this seem weird. Like Highschool superlative voting or something? I suppose it can help eliminate lying on ones profile. You know, so Mr. 6 foot 2, athletic build, 33 years old isn’t actually Mr. 5 foot 2, round build, 56 years old. (Not that there’s anything wrong with Mr. #2, he also needs love!) Here’s the thing, when someone lies specifically about their appearance on their profile, don’t they know they are most certainly going to get caught? I mean once they show up for the date looking nothing like their photo… the gig is up!
And not to sound like your mom but please, be careful when online dating. There are lots of crazy creeps in the world (especially in the world wide web) so takepart and check out these Internet dating safety tips at http://www.onlinedatingmagazine.com/features/onlinedatingsafetytips.html
