Tom Cruise will appear on ABC’s “The View” today, Friday at 11am in which he discusses the tragic death of John Travolta’s son and defends Scientology (the religion practiced by both Cruise and Travolta.)

Personally I find the whole Scientology debate facinating. I used to live in Los Angeles where Scientologists roam wild and I never quite understood what their deal is. I mean, their religion is based on a science fiction book. Science fiction is fake, right? Tom Cruise’s insight on the View should be interesting.

Regardless of the Travolta family’s religious views the loss of their son is very sad. I think the family should be left alone to grieve before the public starts generating accusations that religion played a part in Jett’s death.
