An upsetting new study from the National Science Foundation suggest that the effects of climate change will likely threaten half the world’s food supply by 2100. Using climate models and observation the researchers predict that by that the areas most effected stretch from the southern United States to northern Argentina, northern India to southern Australia, and include all of Africa. The forecast looks grim, unless drastic action is taken soon. University of Washington professor David Battisti, who co-authored the report, explains:
What we are saying is if you do not stop emitting CO2, and really reduce CO2 emissions seriously, starting almost immediately then this is going to play out,” said Battisti. “And it is going to play out to the point where you have already got a billion people already on the edge, who are fundamentally dependent on agriculture for income and food, and that population is going to double, what are the options?
Let’s get crackin’! We don’t have time to “wait and see” if we’re responsible for climate change as skeptics would like to do. We’ve twiddled our thumbs for long enough, while we stink up this beautiful planet.
takepart by learning how you can help solve the climate crisis and help prevent this predictions from becoming a reality.

whoops, thanks christopher!
I feel lucky to live in Canada.
Some of us here have a nice but stressful life.
We do have lots of water and land that is productive.
When the ice melts up north we will even have more land and water!
Now that wallstreet has crashed, hopefully for good, people will stay home more.
We may not be able to travel much but we can start looking at our land!
Who says we ALL have to go at once.
Follow David Suzuki and Al Gore!!
Once we can grow good healthy food again, we can share it properly this time around!
