Back in 2006 Raed Jarrar was asked to remove his T-shirt, which featured Arabic writing, before boarding his plane from NYC to California. The ACLU has made a pretty great little video about the ordeal and standing up for our rights in the face of discrimination:
Three cheers for Raed Jarrar’s standing up for his rights and three cheers to the ACLU for doing their part to spread the word. takepart to learn more about the case and then takepart to get involved with the ACLU.
