I’m sure that many of us had awful airport experiences over the holidays. With the weather and the tons of people traveling, I doubt many people had stress free airport encounters. I was slightly surprised then to learn about a new toy called “Playmobil Security Check Point.” According to Amazon the point of the toy is this:
“The woman traveler stops by the security checkpoint. After placing her luggage on the screening machine, the airport employee checks her baggage. The traveler hands her spare change and watch to the security guard and proceeds through the metal detector. With no time to spare, she picks up her luggage and hurries to board her flight!”
What fun!?!? What’s even better are people’s comments about the toy. One person writes “Thank you Playmobil for allowing me to teach my 5-year old the importance of recognizing what a failing bureaucracy in a ever growing fascist state looks like.” Another writes “I was a little disappointed when I first bought this item, because the functionality is limited. My 5 year old son pointed out that the passenger’s shoes cannot be removed. Then, we placed a deadly fingernail file underneath the passenger’s scarf, and neither the detector doorway nor the security wand picked it up. My son said ‘that’s the worst security ever!”‘.
That is hilarious! Jesus.
To actually do something useful before you head to the airport, takepart to get a terrapass and offset the carbon emissions of your travel.
