Caringbridge.org is a great example of how the Internet is helping connect people for good. CaringBridge.org is a nonprofit web service that connects family and friends during a critical illness, treatment or recovery.
Users create a personal and private CaringBridge website where they can keep friends and family informed about their medical situation. Loved ones can leave users messages giving patients and caregivers strength and support. This service helps ease the burden of having to give updates to the masses, rather it creates a safe space online where friends and family can stay informed on their loved ones health and comfort their loved one and each other.
takepart and visit caringbridge.org for more information and/or to support this free service that has been used by over 150,000 families and counting.
