Today seems to be a Creative Commons kind of day, in the worlds of science, cartoons, and now the White House, as President-Elect Obama is offered three principles for making An Open Transition to office. The proposal provides a guide for Obama’s transition team to help provide open, creative access for sharing materials released by the incoming administration. The growing list of supporters includes Lawrence Lessig, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Moveon.org, among others. The proposal seeks to eliminate legal and technological barriers to sharing transition-generated content and allow free competition between media outlets. To learn more read the principles and watch this:
