So I didn’t really know anything about this movie until I was scrolling through The New York Times and saw this one line description “Let Them Chirp Awhile is a painfully unsympathetic take on postcollegiate New Yorkers who think themselves artists but don’t have an original thought in their heads.”  This of course made me have to watch the trailer as I am a postcollegiate New Yorker who would like to think of herself as an artist but fears that I won’t ever say anything worthwhile:

I felt much better after watching the trailer.  This is clearly just another film about quirky slackers.  It’s funny to me that my generation (at least the urban variety) keeps getting pinned down as lovelorn and lazy.  I’m sure this is true for some folks, but I also know that New York City attracts some of the most motivated and hardworking post collegiate artists.  Where is our movie I wonder?

While I try to find that out, takepart to learn how easy it is for even the most lovelorn slacker to at least recycle their computer equipment correctly.
