Make A Wish at Macy’s Posted by Danny Jensen on December 3, 2008 at 4:43 pm

This holiday season Macy’s has partnered with the Make a Wish Foundation to bring holiday cheer to children with life-threatening medical conditions.  For every letter to Santa that Macy’s recieves, the department store will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundtion with the goal of raising $1 million.  And while they ask for letters from children explaining why they believe in Santa Claus, I’m sure they would accept notes from grown-up kids as well. And you can even become a virtual Santa with this nifty feature.

Take it from these folks:

And here’s the story behind “Yes, Virginia”.

takepart by writing a letter on Santa’s stationary to bring to Macy’s and support The Make-A-Wish Foundation through a variety of other ways.

I believe in the spirit of Christmas that Santa brings. He is a symbol of Giving without the thought of getting in return. Santa makes children light up and wish big. The true meaning of Christmas that a Savior came and died for us giving the most precious gift of all is illustrated using Santa as sort of a mascot to remind each and every person that giving and loving and being thankful is what the season is all about. So, I will not build a fire in the fireplace that night and I will always have the cookies and milk or eggnog for Santa as he travels to remind every person that it truly isn’t the gift—-It’s the love in the gift
