“Tweetsgiving”, which is “a Twitter celebration of gratitude and giving created by Epic Change, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, aimed to demonstrate the power of the social web by raising $10,000 in 48 hours to build a classroom in Tanzania. TweetsGiving was held from Tuesday, 11.25.08 (12pm EST) to Thursday, 11.27.08 (12pm EST). And…they did it! Tweetsgiving raised over $10,000 in just 48 hours through the power of Twitter and social media. 336 contributors collectively raised enough money to fund a new classroom for a school in Tanzania. What an amazing example of the web’s power to get folks to take part.

And you can takepart by visiting http://tweetsgiving.org/ to support the work that Epic Change does transforming compelling stories into social change.
