Your Super Tremendous Awesome Sunday Vegetarian today is hip hop artist and sometimes actor Common. His albums tend to have some very deep lyrics, as well as some of the more familiar territory about the ladies and whatnot. Here’s something from the former category. It’s off his latest album, Finding Forever, and it’s called “The People.” There might be some questionable words.
My favorite song he’s ever recorded is short, sweet, and leaves you wanting to listen to it again and again and again. Sorry about the fact that there’s no real video, but just listen and read, if you’d like.
Man that song is good. It’s called “Intro,” off the album Be. Here’s another non-video for the song “The Questions,” off Like Water for Chocolate. It features one of my other favorite rappers (and sometimes actor), Mos Def. The lyrics are not safe for work or young ears to some extent. You have been warned.
So there’s our first rap entry for the Sunday Vegetarian Post. Hopefully you liked it, and, as always, takepart and get your free vegetarian starter kit.
