Many many months ago, we told you that the incredibly-bearded Chuck Norris had asked Congress to drill here and now. Well, Norris is back, and has posted an open letter to President-elect Obama (if you recall, Bush has, oh, let’s say…three months left?), giving him some advice.
It seems Norris is concerned that “Democrats have a virtual monopoly over our land, with control of the White House, both houses of Congress, a majority of gubernatorial positions, state legislatures, the courts, the news media, the unions and the entertainment and educational fields,” and wants to make sure this doesn’t ruin the good thing going we have called AMERICA. And so he says,
It’s no big surprise that I don’t see politically eye-to-eye with you. Actually, I stand in stark opposition to most of your politics. Still, even in our differences, I realize that we must learn to work together if we are to see our country get back on track. After Election Day, I asked myself, despite the outcome, how can I work for our new president to help better America? Then the thought occurred to me, the first question that should be answered is: How will you work for me? After all, it is “We, the People” of the Constitution for whom you are employed, correct?
It’s kind of like what JFK said upon inaguration, except the exact and complete opposite. Anyhow, Norris outlines four points for Obama to follow to be a good president:
1. Use and cite the Constitution. What does this entail, Mr. Norris? Well,
If you take this oath and challenge seriously, you will limit the powers of federal government, reduce taxes (for everyone), encourage the freedom of religion and expression (even in the public square) and stand up for such things as our right to bear arms.
It’s a good thing we have Walker, Texas Ranger, to explain the Constitution to a, you know, Constitutional lawyer.
2. Protect American life. This involves global security and abortion, it seems.
3. Learn from the mistakes of your Democratic predecessors. Basically, don’t be Carter or Clinton, because they are silly people.
4. Lead more from the center. This is because we don’t want no liberal namby-pamby running the country. This quote sums it up:
You’re on your own – leading the pack – and the whole country is watching. Especially me. So make sure you lead more from the center.
Chuck Norris is watching! This is frightening. I would no longer want to be president. Anyway, takepart and learn from an ever-updating page at The New York Times about the building of a presidency, and maybe catch a glimpse of how much of Norris’ advice Obama will follow.

tell me again why we should care what Chuck Norris has to say? Is he taking his meds?
If it’s an open letter, why can’t I find any mention of it outside of a few websites?
Is Chuck setting himself up for the presidential contention? I mean, I would vote for Chuck over McCain or Obama already. Terrorism would be halted with Chuck as POTUS (President of the Untied States) and we already he is tought on crime.
Don’t Blame Me, I voted for Chuck Norris!
Chuck Norris is an idiot. Who gives a crap what Chuck Norris says??
dave davis is an idiot. who gives a crap what dave davis says??
I give a crap what Chuck Norris says. He is one of “We The People” who expects our president to work for us. All of us either left or right deserve a voice and the constitution speaks for all of us. The fathers of this great nation set that up for all of us and we need to follow it after all it has worked for many many years. A dictator would throw it out and that is what I’m afraid of and you should be too. Obama has a chance to be a great president if he will only lead from the center and not the left.
I personally care what Mr. Chuck Norris says, because he is an American. He is like all of us one of “We The People” who expects our president to work for us, not against us. We deserve the best in our President and I am one that not only deserves it but expects it. It is time to become Americans and not whatever we want to be.
